Backlog August 2016. Almost clear golden body under nice big white head. Aroma has malt, hint of licorices and some cellar notes. Taste is sweet malt, licorices, yeast and some citric fruit. Medium body with average aftertaste. Drinkable, but a bit messy.

Bottle. Brewdog, Sheffield. Cloudy, dark orange. Thin, messy, clingy, white head. Nose has all the witbier character you’d expect, with sweet wheat and dried orange, and a nice, blackcurrant liquorice thing on top. Taste is moderate, orange rind bitter. Some wheaty sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Cleaner than an ordinary wit, maybe. Citrus bitter finish. Turns less witbier, and gets more fruity IPA as it goes along, for me. Tasty hybrid beer.

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is light liqourice malt, grain, light anisseed, some spice. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry yeasty big hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average. The strangest Witbier I ever had.
