Our Pineapple Sculpin IPA came from one of many small-batch cask experiments to enhance the flavor of our signature IPA. With so many tropical hop notes in Sculpin, how could we not try adding some sweet, juicy pineapple? The combination of fruity flavors and hop intensity definitely packs a punch.

The aroma for this is where the pineapple really comes out and shines. I opened the bottle at about arms’ length and could immediately smell the beer. Up close, the malt and hops blend in and the aroma is crazy good. Flavor loses a lot of the pineapple, but is still super tasty. Beer is slightly dry. Very drinkable. A tad biting bitter.

Bottle at Bishops Vasa. Clear golden with faint white head. Slightly citrus hoppy aroma and taste with grain, grass, caramel and light resin. I cannot really sense the pineapple. Miss.

Massive pineappley nose with some curry notes. Pineapple shines. Medium body tons of hops well balanced. Lovely pineapple character with hops. Decent IPA with pineapple. Grapefruit is better

Tap mad mex atwood. Pale yellow. Does have a slight pineapple aroma on top of a ipa smellish backbone. First taste is big IPA, what else? Yes, some piny apple in there but the ipa is so overwhelming. Mouth coating soapy feel for a finish. Not impressed, but what the hey?

Draught at The Beer Junction, Seattle
Golden color, clean. Very nice aroma of candied pineapple. Nice crispy malts, with a dry mouthfeel; the hops are resiny and citrusy, with less pineapple in the flavor.
Very nice.

355 ml. bottle sampled @ “Sir Goatie McGoat S&G Tasting”. Thank you Mathieu87 and/or PriorL! Regular, Grapefruit, Pineapple & Habanero sampled side-by-side. Looks pretty much the same as regular & grapefruit, hazy orange, golden, little white head. Nose is massive pineapple, dear lord this is nice, lightly sweetish base, some candy. Taste is more muted candied pineapple, light candy, passionfruit, pine,..; Lightly sweetish malty, candy base. Very nice, a tad more pineapple would have made it even nicer for me.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big sweet nose, very clear pineapple. The flavor is sweet tropical hops, pineapple, a bit of bitterness, earthy base. Solid easy drinking brew.

Bottle. Prominent pineapple aroma, with light sweet citrusy hops. Less of the fruit in the flavors but still a light and fruity sweet hop character. A touch of caramel and a clear light amber orange color. Big sturdy light tan head. Very tasty IPA

Poured into taster showing moderately filtered amber and sparse white foam. The nose shows a strong cannabis-like forwardness and very slight pineapple. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Flavors of dry clean pineapple on the attack and even more tropical fruit exotic citric flavor on the mid. Banana like background throughout. Moderately bitter finish on the end.
