Our Pineapple Sculpin IPA came from one of many small-batch cask experiments to enhance the flavor of our signature IPA. With so many tropical hop notes in Sculpin, how could we not try adding some sweet, juicy pineapple? The combination of fruity flavors and hop intensity definitely packs a punch.

Golden colour with thin head. Aroma is very sweet with tonnes of pineapple. Flavour is similar but also has a strong resinous bitter finish.

Can. Pours clear golden. Aroma is strong fresh pineapple, tropical fruit, minerals. Body is medium, dominantly sweet and fruity, but with a healthy bitterness. Lively carbonation. Lingering pineapple and bitterness on the palate. Very good!

Can. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is pineapple (but not as much as expected), piney, toasted malts, not so much tropical fruits. Taste is piney, resinous, pineapple, toasted malts as well. Silky mouthfeel, quite sticky. Low to medium carbonation. This was probably too old - luckily I have a fresh can incoming. 7-3-7-4-14Fresher can, thanks Max! So much more pineapple, more refreshing, way less resinous, and sweeter. Medium carbonation. 8-4-7-4-15

Bottle @ home. Clear orange golden color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for a short while. Aroma is malts, pine, pineapple, resin. Tastes about the same with a touch of sweetness initially, moderately bitter in the finish. Decent suitable body and quite soft carbonation imo. Not unpleasant though, just softer than I had expected but it actually suits the beer well. Solid IPA.

355 ml can from Beergium.
Amber, moderate hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of sweet pineapple, tropical fruity hops, berries, some pine, some resin, biscuit.
Tastes quite similar, but less sweet, with the typical, crisp Sculpin character.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes crisp, bitter, zesty, piney, resinous, fruity, subtly sweet, with pineapple again.
Tasty. Loads of lovely, fleshy pineapple, especially in the nose, while the taste is a bit more like the regular Sculpin. Drinks very crisp and balanced. Overall not fully on par with the regular Sculpin in my opinion, let alone the amazing Grapefruit Sculpin, but a great addition to the range nonetheless.
