St-Louis Premium Framboise is based on a lambic and contains juice from Willamette raspberries. This sweet raspberry beer tastes delicious on a sunny day and is a perfect beer for anyone who doesn’t like strong beers.

Bottle. Reddish, copper-tinted body with a minimal, off-white head on top. More a one-bubble layer of bubbles than a real head. Slightly artificial, raspberry aroma, sourish and sweetish. Sour and quite sweet flavor as well, definately berry-ish, and it also gives a little oxidized impression. Medium body, quite sticky in the mouth. There’s a long, artificial, slightly sour and sweet raspberry finish. Maybe a little astringency as well. Nice for a 2.8% beer, but I won’t drink it often. (071027)

Out of a Bios Cherrish sniffer. Beau monde aroma and bon ton appearance. Raspeberries, my favorite fruit. Quite acid tart on the first comencement of taste bud glory. Has an almost sweet tomato soup effect on the palate. Simply delicious. Fresh raspberries. Don’t you just love to say frambwah? Simply DEE-Lish. I’ve never recovered from that first sweet lambic I had nearly a year ago. Finish? What finish, done Already? Blast!!

Re-rate 4/26/11: Bottle. 2.9%. Deep red color with a big pink head. Aroma full of raspberries with some sugar and faint medicinal notes. Sweet raspberry flavor with sugar and light acidity. Light body. Very sweet and not a lot of Lambic character left, but still tasty and very enjoyable. 7/4/7/3/14=3.5
Bottle. Deep red with a pinkish head. Nice sweet raspberry nose with faint hints of lambic character. Sweet raspberry flavor with a bit of acidity towards the finish. Light to medium body. A bit too sweet, but quite nice! 6/4/7/3/14=3.4

(Bottle 25 cl) Slightly cloudy dark red with a creamy, pink head. Extreme raspberry aroma, but it has a very natural feel to it. Rather light-bodied, very sweet yet balanced due to the acidity in the lambic base. The rapberries also really come through in the flavours making this a fresh and delicious fruit beer. Not chemical or artificial in spite of the added flavourings and colorants. Thanks to Kim N for this - I’m quite impressed that you managed to find me a Belgian I hadn’t tried already, and even on the Danish west coast! Cheers buddy. 030307

Bottle Pours a muddy, dark red with a small fizzy light pink head. Heavy coarse sheet os lacing. Lots of raspberry pankacke syrup aroma upfront, with just a bit of the belgian yeast hints comping out. Mainly sweet fruit notes though. Flavor is again very sweet, sugary and lots of rasperries. Slightly tart near the end, but not nearly enough. All but eclipsing the slightly musty Belgian "lambic" funkiness I was hoping for a little more of. Palate was thin, crisp, refreshing, and lively. Tasty, yes. For a sodapop, but lacking the interesting twang I was hoping for.
