St-Louis Premium Framboise is based on a lambic and contains juice from Willamette raspberries. This sweet raspberry beer tastes delicious on a sunny day and is a perfect beer for anyone who doesn’t like strong beers.

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is light ruby. Aroma and taste are extremely powerful raspberry. Wonderful mouthfeel.

Very pronounced initial aroma of raspberry syrup. Very distinct and genuine raspberry character. Purple color with a pink fizzy head. Yowsa, way too sweet. This is basically sugar! A sweet raspberry syrup character with just a touch of acidity, but not enough to cut the sweetness. Far too sweet. Heavy, shuddering finish. Did I mention its sweet? Yuck.

Beer tasting sampler at Binny’s, Orland Park. A little trifecta at work here: tasing the Peche, Kriek, and now this. Not much in the tartness area, considering the style. Like the other two lambics I rated, this comes across as somewhat creamy more than anything else. Certainly has a lot of juice to it, but not much in the way of beer to match.

Lightly hazed burgundy red with a thin collapsing lightly pink to white head. Fresh raspberries in aroma, like a jam. Nice tart sweet fruits in mouth, with pleasant little lactic points, not too chemical in nature (like the Bellevue). Rich for such a light beer. An honest frambozien. (Bièropholie, Nov-05).

A red beer with a thin lazing pink head. The aroma sweet with artificial raspberry notes, while the flavor is very sweet raspberry.

Bottle: Poured a reddish color beer with a nice medium size light pink head with average retention. Aroma of raspberry is clearly dominating with a nice mix between real raspberry and some syrup. Taste is also quite dominated by the raspberry with some very subtle sourness. This really reminded me of the Lindemans Framboise with a bit less tart and sourness.

Test vom 14.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,9,8,13,10,10 - 10,10

Red beer with a sizeable pink head. Aroma is dominated by raspberry but also includes wheat, yeast, and a barnyard quality. Raspberry in the flavor, as well as wheat. More sour than many fruit lambics, with a quick sour finish. Very nice.
