33cl bottle in A La Mort Subite on 21st October 2024. Golden pour, sediment taken after drinking the rest. Yeasty and grainy with a light hop content. Nothing to get excited about.

330 ml. bottle @ La Porteuse d´Eau. This one of those beers that start out pretty decent but I grow tired of and start focusing a bit too much on minor elements for me by the end of the bottle. Overall a decent apple forward grainy Belgian, nothing exceptional but pretty okay but nothing that excise or is really worthwhile visiting. Pours a lightly hazy sparkling golden, off-white layer of disappearing bubbles. Nose is sweet grains, boozy apple esters & grainy sweet honey. Taste is touch sparkling honey, grains, light cooked malts, sugar, lots of apple, sweet corn, lightly watery. Passable but not great Belgian.

From tap at the famed Mort Subite pub in Brussels, where this is beer of the month now. Sticky, creamy, thick egg-white head, colour misty peach blonde. Aroma of dried apricot, sourdough, green apple, white bread, baker’s yeast, pineapple, hay, grass, bitter honey, coriander seed. Soft yeasty, estery onset, gooseberries, pineapple and unripe peach, fairly strong carbonation, sourish accent, spicy hints (coriander?), bready and smooth middle, restrained sweetness lingering in a yeasty and moderately grassy hoppy finish. As stereotypical as any Belgian blonde, but no flaws and certainly enjoyable.
