Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een licht troebel geel bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een anijsgeur. De smaak is kruidig, anijs en absint achtig.

Bottle. Anise and spice aroma. Cloudy yellow, grey lace. Light body, dissolved rye bread, needs a bit more chewiness in the end.

Golden with little head. Aroma is lots of peppermint (which I hate), anis (which I also dont like) slight sweet bready malt, rice. Taste is ugly peppermint, with some hop bitterness. Heavy and not so drinkable. I hate it.

Bottle. Orange color with white head. Aroma is fresh herbs, tea, anis, cough syrup. Taste is herbs, spicy, hustensaft (cough syrup) again, bready. The aroma is okay, the flavour is not good.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy pale yellow to greenish colour with a medium sized white head. Smells absinthe, anice, sambuca. Tastes like you would expect from the smell. And some liquorice. Hate it. Medium body, soft carbo

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste anise, absinthe and sambucca. Perhaps a hint of liquorice as well. Weird and also stuff I don’t want in my beer.

330 ml. bottle shared. BBF March 2017. Hazy golden, fizzy small white head. Nose is indeed similar to Absinth, big star anise in a pleasant way with huge muisjes profile (typical candy form the Netherlands, sugared anise seeds – seems like Dutch Rusk might be the correct English translation). Taste is basically muisjes beer (no wonder this beer was made in the Netherlands), low bitter anise in the finish, base is some grain & low butter. Body is fizzy & bit buttery. Taste is a bit too buttery – base could have been a bit better but the anise / muisjes profile works really well here & reminds we quite well of Absinth. Pleasant surprise actually & other 2 guys really enjoyed it. I saw people ripping on this beer at Tilburg Beer Festival, those people also admitted to hating anise.
