This stout ale pours a deep brown-tinted black, with a thick creamy latte head. Aromas of burnt roast coffee, malty molasses, prunes, and a hint of smoke. It is gently sweet & sour, with a moderate bitterness.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours almost black, with moderate caffelatte head. Aroma is of burnt coffee and black chocolate. Body if flat and light. Taste is dominated by that bitter (non-hop-related) feeling of burnt coffee. Finish is relatively short, with some bitterness left.

0,33l bottle at home bought at Etre Gourmet (big thanks Saeglopur). Bottled 07 March 2016. BB 07 March 2017. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells of licorice, raisins, coffee-grounds, light caramel, some milk chocolate. quite nice smell. light body, medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes ashy, bitter herbal, some licorice, coffee grounds, some roast, bitter chocolate, earthy, russian bread. finishes rather dry and medium bitter with notes of coffeee, bitter herbs and some ash notes. lovely beer, quite roasty / ashy bitter but I very much enjoy drinking this one.

330 ml. bottle. Bottled 07MAR16. Dark brown, cough sryup hue, creamy tanned head. Great lacing. Nose is powdery mocha, grainy chocolate milk, faintly cheesy hops, coffee grounds, powdery, instant chocolate milk mix. Taste is quite bitter herbal, big charcoal & ashes streak running through it, very bitter coffee grounds, low cacao & toffee, thin, gainy faintl oat milk, bitter roast & more ashes, light cigarette ashes. Massively grainy body & dry, decent for a touch thin, very grainy low ABV stout that is so heavy (overly heavy for me) on ashes & burned dry very grainy grounds.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo shop 30th April 2016 consumed at home in company of Lynn and Barry on Sunday 1st May 2016. Pours black with a light beige head. Nice coffee aroma but interlaced with a good little punch of fresh green hops. More of the same in the mouth, fresh, a little smoke but hops and coffee with chocolate to a lesser extent the dominant features. I love this, not sure why I have not rated before as I must have had it umpteen times. Tastes move like a black session IPA to me, but regardless it’s V.good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Svart med høyt vedvarende lys brunt skum. Lukter papp, jord, trevirke og salt lakris. Middels fyldig. Smaker kakaopulver, kaffe og salt lakris. Den salte smaken kommer veldig på slutten. Lit vel mye.

(Keg at Kitty’s, 20160302) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had burnt malts, ash and coffee. Palate was medium bodied and soft with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, burnt malts, liquorice, coffee, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had hops, burnt malts and bitterness. A very tasty hoppy stout.
