Fruity and spicy brown ale with caramelized notes. Brown Ale with an aromatic fruity bouquet that includes notes of caramel, brewed with cinnamon cloves and plums. A blast of wheat, caramel, spicy and fruity notes.

Bottle. Pours muddy brown with a creame coloured head. Sweet spicy aroma. Sweet and spicy but still rather balanced brew, bit like a light quad.

330 ml shared swingtop bottle, at local tasting. ABV 7.5%. Murky brown colour (end of bottle), low off-white head. Unusual and strong aroma, notes of yeast, spices, over-ripe fruits and caramel. Very fruity flavour, moderate acidity, okay but not particularly exciting.

33 cl swing-top bottle, thanks to tkrjukoff!BB OCT 2011, sampled on April 1, 2011Shady brown color, big tan head. Red vine like "sour", spicy, brett like, alcohol, almond paste scent. Dry, slight bit acidic, mineral taste. Dry dusty aftertaste, also currant peels. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Warming alcohol. To me pretty good for sips in small amounts, though I wouldn’t finish a bottle on my own, or I’d do it over a very long time.

Bottle from Bierkompass. Deep amber color with nice thick beige head. Great carbonation. Aroma sweet malt. Taste, plums, malt, coffee in finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Not the best Belgian strong ale, I ever head, but drinkable.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks zvikar. Dark murky brown with a beige head. Acidic aroma with sour cherries, other dark fruits, subtle olive hints, a bit of caramel and light spiciness. Sourish flavor with some malt, woody notes, a bit of barnyard notes, some sourish dark fruits and a dry finish. Medium-bodied. Interesting.

At a tasting, many thanks zvikar, small stable head, murky deep red colour with with light brown taints, aroma of apples, cherries, and vinegar, grapefruity bitter sourness with cherries and some spices, very sour but not packering, long and quite appealing grapefruit aftertase. Intriguing and extremely interesting.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Visible carbonation, almost no head, murky reddish-amber coloured; balsamic vinegar dominates the caramelly-fruity nose; moderate sweet-sour flavour, medium bodied; vinegarish-spicy finish, caramel and x-mas spices included. Not great as a beer, but maybe good for a vinaigrette........

bottle, mit Dank an Allen! Deep black colour, small beige head. Rather sour nose (expiry date is in 2011). Malty with hints of caramel, roasetd malts and raisins. A fruity sourness is dominating, I am not sure it is thought to be like that. If the sourness wasn’t so intensive, it would be a nice beer.
