Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspired version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

Bomber bought @ bierkompass.de Pours hazy golden with a rather big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some sparse sticky trace on the glass. Smell is tiny fruity and mealy with crackers, wheat flour, lemon juice, yoghurt, hay, dry soil, coriander and lemon zest. Taste is slightly sour, tiny salty, tiny fruity and slightly mealy with crackers, white bread, wheat flour, lemon juice, mandarin oranges, yoghurt, hay, dry soil and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is soft, sparkling, slightly dry, slightly tart and light bodied. Finish is slightly sour and tiny salty with wheat crackers, white bread, lemon juice, star fruit, yoghurt, hay, dry soil, kumquats and lemon zest. Refreshing drinkable simple gose. I like!

Poured into a taster glass showing a deep honey gold with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of round sweet lager-like malts with some hints of apricot and stone fruit. The palate is light bodied with high carbonation. A lot of sweet round lager malts with a good sweet tartness. There is also a nice background of apricot and peaches throughout the beer. Drinks simple and easy.

Bottle. Light hazy golden liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of lemon, coriander, spices, light apples, light grain and light salt. Taste is dry and light to medium sour with notes of lemon, coriander and apples. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Ariel. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of coriander, citrus, a bit of verbena, wheat and a light lactic note. Sourish wheaty flavor, citric, with some spiciness, mild lacto and a more spicy finish with a salty note. Medium-bodied. Refreshing and quite true to style.
