Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

12oz bottle - classic milk stout - not my favorite sytle, but it was pretty decent

Roasted coffee and dark chocolate with a nice touch of sweetness. Some hops underpin the classic stout elements and the moderate effervescence and richness make it a nice drinkable beer

Bottle. Dark brown in color. Medium head that quickly disappears. Aroma is coffee, burnt grains and citrusy hops. Taste had way too much hops for a stout.

650ml bottle from the lcbo. Light roast, sweet milk chocolate, and hint of coffee. A tad watery, soft carb. The finish is low on the bitter scale, some solid sweet cocoa flavors, and a touch of roast in the end.

This is a chewy, aromatic, absolutely black Stout. Excellent coffee, chocolate, roasty notes are blended nicely with hops. Recomended for the experienced Stout drinker/lover only.

A deep dark stout with a thick frothy lacing creamy brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, molasses, light oxydation. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with musty and fruity esters, light coffee, pleasant and smooth. Bottle.

Bottle from Bien Manger. fajna sredniej wielkosci ale za to bardzo kremowa piana lekko bezowa, barwa ciemno brazowa niemal nie przejrzysta. pachnie palona kawa, dobra czekolada z orzechami. fajny owsiany stout, subtelne fajnie palone slody, fajna kawa z kostka czekolady. ja to lubie, dobre do konsumowania podczas gry w bilard

Pours from 12oz bottle a very dark brown with a large tannish head of foam that shrinks to a solid layer with lacing.
The smell is light but I note roasted and sweet malt.
The taste on first sip has a lot of semi sweet malt to it with some roastiness and grain. Further sips in and there's a touch of citric bitterness midway through and through to the finish. It's a bit thin when it comes to the mouthfeel and the finish itself is on the watery side. Hmm.
Bottom line: This is an okay Stout but I've had many "regular" American Stouts that were much better.
Thanks to Wsatch for this sample!
