An aggressive assault of New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops. A pleasant grassy aroma is layered between pepper, mango, papaya, and grape must. With just enough caramel malt to add depth to color, the emphasis here is truly of the Southern Hemispherical variety.

Can 355ml (BGonzo, Genesis date 05/20/2016)
Amber colour, small steady off-white head and lace. Piney, resiny, hop oily aroma is quite good. Medium-bodied. Tropical fruity, resiny and piney flavour. Decent pale malty backbone. Nice solid West Coast IPA although freshness is partly gone.

On tap at alefort. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice light tropical fruits hops some citrus and a light sweetness. Taste is more of the nice tropical fruits hops a well balanced fruit and malt bill.

On tap at Mother Earth, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a very fresh citrus and dry piney hop character, along with toasted crackery malt. Flavour is wonderfully structured, with the Nelson hops coming out wonderfully, with its characteristic citrus tangy quality, followed by some piney hops and toasted crackery malt. Bold without being abrasive in any way and leaving very low astringency on the finish. Excellent.

23rd Sep 2016: 330ml can in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Hazy orange with a weak and thin head. Hop centric and fairly bitter in nature with a fruity trace in the bitterness as it warmed a little in the glass. I thought this OK, hid the alcohol well.

330ml can @ Chez Sophie. Pours a misty amber, off white head. Aroma is caramel, pine. Taste brings crystal malt, pine, resin, marmalade. Would’ve liked more of the Nelson hops promised. Not Mother Earth’s finest.
