Draft @ Beerstorming. Couleur acajou voire léger pourpre, léger voile sur un col crémeux blanc. Arôme est malté assez léger - pils, pointe d’épice perce subtilement en rétro-nasal - mettant le cumin en rapport avec le côté plus légume/terreux de la carotte qui reste cependant plutôt discret. Note également de fines effluves citronnées et nobles des houblons. Palais est malté, pils, pointe d’épice nettement plus prononcée que la carotte qui reste plus minimaliste et perce néanmoins en fin de bouche. Retrouve un aspect belge dans l’usage de la levure, palais au profil sec/grains. L’ajout de cumin ne passe pas inaperçu et ajoute une belle profondeur niveau épice.

Sampled draft @ Beerstorming. The goal here was apparently to make this beer the same bright blue as the tables at the brewery by using purple carrots. It didn’t work out, according to the representative because they added the carrots too early to the mash & the malt sucked up all of the colour. They will try again later. Dar amber, creamy off-white head. Nose is sweet caramelized oven-backed carrots indeed with sugar, malts, dash raw carrot, oddly appealing, similar to a winter dish. Taste is sweet carrot, caramel, sugar, candy oven baked carrots, not really getting cumin, sweet grains, sugar,… Real oven-baked & caramelized taste here, oddly pleasant. Basic base. Lightly grainy body, some tripel-like qualities. Strangely appealing caramelized carrot profile. Interesting & fun.
