An India Pale Ale featuring Nelson Sauvin hops. Named after the Sauvignon Blanc grape, is a variety of hop developed and grown in New Zealand. It has a strong fruity flavor and aroma that is described as resembling white wine, or fresh crushed grapes or gooseberries. Hazy yellow - gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildy crisp. Thin malts, mildly sweet. Light orangey start to the hops but good Nelson grape and gooseberry develops. Trace of pine before a light finish. Nice.

From tap at Delirium Hoppy Loft. My second beer from this brewery, curious about this. Light hazy orange blonde robe under a very thick, frothy, creamy, thickly lacing, off-white head. Lovely IPA aroma with the typical tropical passion fruit character released by the Nelson Sauvin; further impressions of mango, lime zest, green tea, lychee, toasted bread, flowers, strawberry, honey, vague brandy. Crisp and lush onset, wave after wave of tropical fruitiness, pineapple, passion fruit, starfruit, refreshing with a honeyish and caramelly, smooth maltiness, soft; very aromatic hoppy finish, fruity, piney, very citrusy with a thin but deep bitterness, followed by a dash of warming alcohol. Excellent!

Draft @ Hoppy Loft. Léger orangé, col fin blanc. Arôme est fruité, rétro agrumes, pamplemousse avec un houblonné fort centré sur le fruité ais en retrait par rapport à la contenance en alcool de la bière. Retrouve un malté dominant. Palais est malté avec un abc qui ne se cache pas. Fruité typique de Nelson, mais le tout reste un peu renfermé. Retrouve un côté raisin blanc et pamplemousse. Le tout semble un peu résineux et médicinal sur la fin.

Bottle says Double IPA, so I poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving some nice looking speckled lacing clinging yet concaving nicely.
The smell had a sweet to bitter crushed grape, sweet passionfruit bonding into some light melon. Light gooseberries play with the aroma slightly underneath.
The taste was moderately sweet carrying a nice dried fruit bitterness to blend superbly. A dry sweet sticky lemon slides into the aftertaste along with the gooseberries, grapes and passionfruit. The finish is semi-dry.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability to sipping quality about it. Carbonation is quite low.
Overall, I say this was an absolutely amazing DIPA that I would love to have again.

On tap at the Georgia Changing Room. Nose is hay, banana, mild pineapple and spruce, and cloves. Flavor is very bitter, with a nice malty sweetness. It has fantastic balance. Medium body, smooth, and lightly crisp and acidic. This is a lovely, mild, very well balanced IPA.

On tap at PIB 2015, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out tangy hops, some herbal notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with tangy citrus hops, a little pine and dry biscuity malt. Well-balanced and refreshing. Very nice IPA.

On tap at Basement Beer Bar. It pours an almost clear body, golden on color and with a dense, finger thick off-white head. It’s peachy and sweetish on the nose, with resins and grass. Soft and pleasant bitterness in the mouth, it’s quite dry, and with a pleasant carbonation. Peaches, orange peel and some pale malts in the flavor. Lasting finish. I’d prefer a more pronounced flavor, but overall it’s sure a fine brew. 150515

Tap. Shakespeares, Sheffield. Hazy, dark gold. Thin, dense, lasting, off white head. Nelson Sauvin it is. Grapey, peachy, and a bit pissy and white wine like. Taste is a nice balance of sweet, and light bitter. Smooth, and full palate. Finish is big, long, rising bitter. Very drinkable. Good one.
