Our Leipzig-style Gose is pleasantly acidic with lime-like tartness and a little funk from our unique, indigenous mixed culture kettle souring process, all balanced by the spicy character of added coriander and a mineral-mouthfeel from the addition of hand-harvested French grey sea salt.

Slightly hazy copper and bronze glowing orange coloured body with a nice and relatively slow-dying off-white head about two centimetres tall. Aroma of sour funk, grass, tart limes, lemons, grapefruit and a dose of pure sour candy like warheads - very nice and mouthwatering. Light-bodied; Super tart and very gueuze like flavour with a bunch of wheat and some brett and lactic sourness going on, but this is even deeper with a fruit or very pungent sour quality that hits the back of the palate - all with a touch of sweetness, but a very nice and incredibly complex sour flavour throughout. Aftertaste shows more ridiculously elegant Cantillon or Drie Fontein than a beer from Illinois, USA, but in a blind test, you'd say that this was easily Belgian. Overall, this is incredibly complex, super soured and tart and amazingly good for the price, the style and the origin (no offense to Illinois). Definitely worth going way WAY out of your way to find or acquire this, unless I got some magic batch and/or I aged it for the perfect amount of time, but this is a great beer and drinks like a Gueuze for five times the price or a Sour Ale that drinks for four times this price. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Spec's Liquour in Dallas, Texas on 01-September-2015 for US$2,83 sampled at home in Washington a bit after tow years later on 15-December-2017.
