Bottiglia.

0.33 l bottle from 'Meraner Weinhaus' as 'Batzen Bräu Colonial IPA' at 6.2% abv, best before February 2024. A bit hazy, amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity and quite resiny aroma of peach, tangerine, orange and pine. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, very fruity and slightly resiny taste of tangerine, peach, orange, some mango and light pine, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty IPA, albeit very sweet, but nicely fruity and quite different.

Smooth sweetish beginning. Floral hops over a sweetish malty body. Pine there, citric parts. Fruity sweetish grain over a round floral grassy finish with floral citric hops in the back.

Leicht eingetrübt goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Floral hopfiger, malziger Geruch.

Standard 0,33 l bottle out of a mixed 6er, purchased at Batzen Häusl, Bozen, today. Dark golden in the glass, slightly cloudy, nearly two finger white foamy head. Intensive floral hoppy on the nose, sweet. Taste starts also floral hoppy, sweet citrus, with an decent bitterness. Some malt and black tea in the background. A lot of resin in the second part. Nice one.

Bottle purchased in Merano. Orange amber with a small head. Orange peel, sweet malt, inviting bread-yeasty nose. The flavor is really citrus zest, fresh Spanish oranges in a British-Style marmelade. I can imagine this beer spread on warm buttered toast made from freshly baked bread. If that's what they meant by Colonial IPA they are spot on.

Bottle that I picked up at Getränkeladen Harpf, Bruneck, Sud Tyrol, Italy and consumed at home, Saturday 5th October 2019. Pours gold, slightly hazy with a white head. Quite a pushy bitterness and very good for it, soft slightly soapy mouthfeel, lemony with a dry finish. Very nice.
