Bottle. Golden color, cloudy. Citrus, gooseberries and a hint of banana in the aroma. Firmly hopped citric flavor with gooseberries, herbal notes and red berries. Lots of carbon. Nice and tasty.

Bottle at home drank all by myself. Few days bb date. Murky orange golden with fizzy head that only lasts for a few seconds. Doesn’t look that good unfortunately. Lots of dried fruits, brown bread, honey, plums, overripe nectarine, caramel, sherry, light sour grapes, lime, grass. Under medium sweet, light sour and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. A bit oxidized and very unusual. Interesting beer but not especially good. This is probably past its prime, should be taken of the shelves.

250 ml. bottle. BBF 14/06/2016. Deep very hazy brownish orange, much hazier & darker than one would expect from this style. Head is big, slightly off-white and creamy. Nose is overripe sweet banana completely mixed with an odd faintly floral, touch plastic almost metallic quality. The hops I presume, bit of an unusual mix faintly but not overly bitter, the nose makes me question the idea slightly but the taste luckily convinces me. The nose is slightly odd but you get accustomed to it. The taste is ripe sweetish banana, there is plenty of yeast, it is a bit German-like but not entirely sure, profile is a bit vaguely reminiscent of fish guts (which I find from time to time in German beers) & light plastic, light herbs & hay, overall fruity, quirky but interesting. The finish is lightly floral, the is a light bitterness to this but sweetness is still predominant. Body is thicker malts than expected, lightly fruity, chewy. Overall a very nice & successful Weizen, I feel like it might have worked a bit better with a touch less hops & more sweetness – thus cancelling the original premise – as opposed to how it is currently. Still, I quite liked & enjoyed this beer. Pleasant, interesting enough & drinks well. At this point, these are the styles that I am becoming more curious about & wish to explore (both in traditional as well as more experimental fashion as here). It is nice to see one from a brewery that I am rather fond of.

28/IX/15 - 25cl bottle @ the turd (di)mansion (home) - BB: 14/VI/16 (2015-1423) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy orange beer, irregular beige to off-white head, unstable, falls down immediately. Aroma: lots of exotic fruits, bit sweet, malty, some citrus. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sourish, citrus, bitter, fruity, sweet peaches. Aftertaste: nice soft bitterness, fruity, citrus, bit sourish. Very surprising beer for the style.
