Bottle. Slightly cloudy dark yellow/orange sporting a lovely white head. Aroma of tangerines, grains and malts. Taste is lemons, cereals, grass, malts, straw and flowers. Dry bitter finish. Strong carbonation. Thin body. Be like the wife and call me an old old-fashioned grump but I really don’t need my Helles to be fruitily dry-hopped. It’s still ok though.

Bottle, thanks to the german toothe fairy. Cloudy golden, fluffiges golden head. Fairly perfumed hop nose. Medium body, dry, lightly fizzy on the palate. Simple grain base,. Flat bottom, hop aromatics retronasal, luckily not as much grandma perfume here as in the start. No Dortmunder body, too perfumed for my taste.
Nice grainy beginning. Intense floralness. Lots of grain, nice bitter hoppiness. Refreshing and intense floral dry in the end.

Gold with a sticky, frothy white head. Mildly floral aroma with mixed citrus, grains. Taste is bitter the whole way through, but to the moderate side. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Went down well with a grilled, wild boar dinner.

Bottle: Golden, hazy, small and stable white head, distinctive bitter-sweet aroma of floral-tropical hops, pale malt underneath, indeed; moderate to robust bitter-sweet flavour, nearly medium bodied; solid floral-hoppy finish, some balancing sweet pale malt well detectable. Gut...

330ml bottle. Clear, pale orangey, golden colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, slightly grassy and minimally citrusy, hoppy aroma, minimally strawy, pale malty background, hints of pine, spruce, coniferes in gereral, some resin, a touch of fresh hay. Taste is minimally sweet, biscuity pale malty, slightly citrusy, piney and minimally grassy hoppy, hints of lemon, a touch of tangerine. Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft palate. Very clean, well balanced, superbly crafted. Iconic for the style.
