Aus der Flasche im 2017-11 getrunken. Diese dunkelgoldene Ale, wo der Schaum sehr schnell verschwindet, wird von einer leicht süßlichen Getreide- bzw. Popcorn-Aroma begleitet. Sehr leckeres und gefährlich süffiges Ale.

Bottle at Merchant Tavern. Slightly hazy golden color. Aroma of lightvtannins subtle lemon. Taste has more tannins sweet light vanilla. Complex forbit abv.

Bottle from Yamaya. Spicy, whiskey nose, oak, light caramel, quite a bit of vanilla. Amber-orange color, clear, with lace. Lots of creamy vanilla, sweet, caramel, lightly spicy. Smooth, oily, full. Fun, not great, and a bit too sweet and simple, but nice enough.

Now Belhaven is a cheap decent quality craft staple at Seiyu but this is one of their more unique offerings I stumbled across at Yamaya: Speyside Oak Aged Blonde Ale 6.5% Oak aged is a bit of a bullshit crafty label as it could mean aged in oak barrels or more likely for cheap stuff aged on questionable quality oak chips. Deep brassy gold in color with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is a malty caramel, biscuit and oak - very mellow. Medium bodied with a sharp carbonation and fijish. The taste is malty biscuity sweet with a touch of oak. Smooth flavored and mellow. Barrel Aged freaks will be let down but if you want something relatively cheap(500¥ or less I believe) , malt forward and smooth this will do the trick.

Honey notes in the aroma. Clear amber, medium white head. Nice malt sweetness, very light bitterness. Short finish, medium body. Quite refreshing in a hot summer.
