Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Thanks to our host for this one. Bright clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, Fine carbonation. Light dry pale malts. Barrel induced vanilla. Light whiskey. Touches of lactose and floral dried fruits. Light finish with a mild floral fruity linger. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours clear the golden-amber with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, toasty, grained, sugar, wood and spice. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, honey, crunchy nut cornflakes, sugary, bread, alcohol, vanilla and nougat with short, sweet finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not much depth to it and a touch sweet. Not all bad.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear gold amber lasting thin white head. Some butteryness. Not much whisky. It’s a bit empty in the malts. Aroma of butter. Some hop and heat on the finish. Not my thing.

Bottle shared in London. Pours perfectly clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds doughy malts, grains, ripe lemon. Medium sweet flavor, sugary, with some marmalade, more dough, citrus candies, bread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary, doughy pale bread on the finish, minimal bitterness, vague citrus fruits. Fine.
