Draft at Rustico Alexandria. Poured a clear amber color with a pretty decently sized white head. Aroma was a nice mix of pumpkin and pumpkin-pie spices. Some earthy hops with a nice malt backing round it out. Flavor was a bit like a pumpkin pie, with fresh tasting pumpkin with nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon. Pretty tasty, and quite drinkable for the abv on this one.

22 oz. bottles from Gary’s beverage, Portsmouth, NH. One year old bottle store in my cellar. Dark amber with light bubbly head that provided lacing. Nose is light graham cracker and a strong amount of pumpkin. Flavor of squash, faint herbal and malty notes with ginger and nutmeg in the finish. Full in body with a light effervescent mouthfeel. Nice job here.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear reddish copper with an off white head. Caramel malt nose. Spicy pumpkin pie notes, but not over the top. Tasty.

4oz sample at Max’s Hop Fest 2013. Pours a hazy mahogany brown with some very white head. Smells like a candle, brown sugar, candied yams, burnt marshmellow. Flavor is like eating candied yams on Thanksgiving, burnt marshmellow, clove, super sweet, nutmeg, vanilla. Very sugary finish. A little too much.

Bottle shared with Sr. Jackson in Canaan, NH. Pours bright copper-red with a fine, white cream head. Sugars and autumn spices in the aroma, definite sweet pumpkin notes. Big sweet flavor with pleasant pumpkin, nutmeg, wintery spices now, a bit of alcohol. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming, with cinnamon and nutmeg, mild dryness. Nicely spiced overall. I like sweet pumpkin beers, generally, and I think this one is good stuff.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was a lovely mix of sweet malts, strong nutmeg and clove, faint cinnamon and sourdough bread. The flavor was sweetish and bready with moderate nutmeg and clove and light cinnamon. Long finish of bread and nutmeg. Medium body. Nice.
