Clear, dark brown to black colored with a ruby hue, medium frothy beige head, nice lasting. Aroma is of malt, toffee, brown sugar, roasted malt, light chocolate, dark fruit. Taste is medium to very sweet malty, toffee and brown sugar, roasted malt and some chocolate, some dark fruit, medium- bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. I might have overaged it past BB date... (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Bottle at Erzbierschof MC, vintage 2014. Pours dark brown with a soft beige head. Aroma is mocca, chocolate, coffee. Body is medium, lots of chocolate, some coffee, still a lot of roast and sweetness, some booze, but in good harmony. Very good!

(Bottle, 0.5 l - Brygget 20.06.14 - BB 20.06.17 - batch 1210, at Pikkulintu, 20160701) The beer poured dark brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, molasses and caramel. Palate was full bodied with medium. Flavours were malts, caramel, sweetness, toasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A very malty brew..

Bottled (from Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Deep amber colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is some wooden notes, mild toasted notes as well as some mild chocolate and earth. Flavour is caramel, fruity and some alcohol and some wood and some liquorice. Wellbalanced and pleasant.

Bottle 500ml (Vinmonopolet). Opaque brown color, steady medium-sized beige head. Bread and caramel, very close to some East European baltic porters. Medium-bodied. Caramel, some berryish notes, toasted maltyness. Sweetish. Reminds me about Aldaris Porteris.

500 ml bottle. Clear, dark amber, almost black body and a medium sized beige head. Aroma is rather straight forward dark malt, mild roasted with a hint of chocolate. Flavor is a bit more complex than the aroma, rather sweet dark malt, mild roast, caramel, dry fruit and hint of chocolate, moderate bitterness. Full bodied and long lasting aftertaste of sweet malt. Rather straight forward, quite smooth and typical for the style. Not my favorite, but still enjoyable.

Bottle, brewed 06/2014. Brown color with tan head. Aroma is chocolate and fruits, a bit vineous, but also liver and a certain Bock maltiness. Taste is chocolate, caramel, but surprisingly dry. Carbonation is rather high and big-bubbled. Rather dry bitter finish. Not as luscious as Eastern-European Baltic Porters, and feels closer to a Doppelbock, but a fine brew, and I suppose it was a bit less Bocky when it was fresher.

Flasche: Hazy, deep chestnut-amber coloured with a smaller stable off-white head; fruity and sweet-vinous nose, toasted malt and traces of wood well detectable; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, silky MF; gets a bit drier - with a slight tartness - towards the caramelly-fruity finish. A nice winter-warmer with a funny name( ancient german, meaning "God’s help in need"…
