Inspired by the old school rye IPA (high bitterness, citrus) and updated with a heavy dry hop of Citra hops that bring tones of tropical fruits. The rye provide a solid malt backbone and silkiness

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Clear golden-orange, lasting, thin, foamy, white head. Aroma of orange peel, ripe mango, pine resin, lime, breadcrust, lemon zest, spring onion. Taste is medium fruity sweet, notes of ripe pineapple & orange, evolving into a medium hoppy bitterness with mandarin rind, pine, onion, a grainy rye-like touch, supported by bready, bit biscuity maltiness & sourish lime. Dryish, floral hoppy finsh, lingering onion, rye, bread & ripe fruit. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. I’m not the biggest fan of rye beers and I’m glad to see it’s been measured out here. Good stuff.

28/IV/19 - sample @ Zythos Bierfestival 2019 (Leuven), BB: n/a - (2019-599) Thanks to nathanvc, 77ships & Anke for sharing today's beers!
Clear orange beer, big solid creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: oh yes, hitting the right buttons here! Lots of tropical fruits, sweetish, very intense, nice one! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very soapy bitterness, little fruity, resinous, decent stuff! Aftertaste: some tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, very bitter.
