Pours black , big grey head fades fast . Smell is coffee and oat . Touch of oak . Taste is bitter , coffee , booze , some cognac ( hidden ) some ’wine ’ aspect . Oak , oty , sharp too thin of a mouthfeel .

M.H.T 26/03/19 - Pours pitch black with a smooth light brown head. Aroma of sweet syrup, sherry, some roastiness and wood. Taste is quite weird, with some roastiness, stingy syrup, sherry, wood, oak and toffee. Finish is syrupy, stuffy and carbonated with some licorice, sherry, wood and oaky notes. A bit messy and strange.

Aroma has sweet licorice tones, ash and hints of hay. Flavour has ash, licorice, some coffee tones and hints of tobacco. Too high on CO2, which makes this too ashy. Not bad though, I like the licorice tones here. At the end of the glass CO2 steps aside and this gets better. Does not reach the awesomeness of basic Black Ball though; too boozy and sweet.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small tan head. Aroma of coffee, wood, sweet alcohol, light ash, pumpernickel, milk chocolate and light licorice. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of chocolate, coffee, light sweet booze and dried fruit. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty good.

Smakprov på CBC 2014. Smak och doft av choklad, kaffe, röda bär, malt, saltlaktris, ekträ, mjölksyra. Riktigt syrligt men välbalanserat. Lång eftersmak. Gott.

Draught @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2014 ] @ Tap1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 Copenhagen, Denmark. [ As To Øl Black Ball Ballistics ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, earthy - wood notes, moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, roasted, oyster - sea water - salty water notes. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. Tap at Senica pije pivo festival. Very dark brown color with medium beige head. Coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt in aroma. Taste, roasted malt, coffee, ash, cognac, wood. Alcohol is evident, but not in disturbing way. Tasty.
