75 cl. bottle sampled @ Modeste 2014. Golden citrus little head. Nice light peat in the nose, not overdone with some malt & citrus. Taste is grains, citrus, bread finishing into nice moderate peat, smoked malts, nice light phenol taste. Easy body. This is pretty nice, better than other Inter-Pol, pretty balanced, good peated brew. Not bad.

Hazy golden beer with a fine white rim. Heavy phenolic nose, tarry. Misses a bit of backbone, or... some melanoidins? Sweet, faintly smoked, bit of pineapple and smoked malt in combination. Bit empty MF, aftertaste has again some phenols, but nothing to equal the nasal impression. Pol, I think that smoked beers can be superb - but they sorely need backing, as from malt - or better, dark malts.

6/X/2012 - 75cl bottle @ Modeste Bierfestival (Antwerpen) - BB: n/a (2012-1089)
Little cloudy blond beer, big aery white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: musty, stale, wet grains, no smoke though. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of smoke! Little sour, apples, grains, slightly bitter, wheat? Aftertaste: smoky, citrus, bitter, grassy hops, bit watery.
