Bottle shared by Brad and RBWG 2014, thanks! Pours a near clear ruby with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a very musty tart cherry note and a strong barnyard funk. Flavor has light tart cherries with a growing funkiness and a bite of acid.

Ruby red colour, light pink head. Aroma of vanilla, chreery, quite fruity, bit of funk. Somewhat sweet flavour, sour, lactic acid, cherry, fruit sour and vanilla. Lots of carbo, more balanced carbo than the kriekenlambic though. Finish cherry, fruit, raisins and dates. Great beer!

Bottle from the source during Tour de Geuze 2013, number 17 of 240, shared at GT2’s going-away tasting. Huge pop, but not a gusher. Beautiful clear ruby red and royal purple color, massive pink head that settles slowly, solid lacing. Aroma of slightly sour and dusty cherries, subtle citrus. Taste is slightly sharp, sour berries and dark fruit. Very high carbonation is really the only detractor, and even that is slight.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell, London during the Birthday Celebration of Jack & Leighton - massive thanks to Matteo for pulling out the big guns on this occasion! Pours clear red with a fine, light pink foam head. Lots of fresh, tangy berries in the nose, hints of funky manure, grass. Light to medium sweet flavor with cherrie candies, bracing sourness, touches of residual sugars, some grassy bitterness. Light bodied with high, mouth-filling carbonation. Good sweet/ sour finish, lots of jammy cherries, good sour bite. Lovely stuff.

Bottle at Jack and Leighton’s Birthday Beeorama, big thanks to Matteo, 13/04/13. Rich crimson with a big frothy pinky-white head that retains well. Nose is sour and tarte all over, smokey notes, MKI rad piss, light cherry drops, light fruit balsams. Taste comprises oversweetened cherries tempered with some tarteness, sour berries, light balsams. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation perhaps a little over cooked, dry in the finish. Good stuff perhaps a little on the sweet side.

17/IV/13 - 75cl bottle @ De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: n/a - lagered: XI/2011 - dégorgé: XII/2012 - bottle #026/200 (2013-335) Thanks to Bobochamp for sharing the bottle!
Clear pale red to rusty brown beer, small irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet ripe cherries, some chloride, bit metallic, cherry candy. The fruity is in there, but not very present. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour pungeant start, lemony, red wine vinegar, sour apples, pretty bitter, hint of cherries. After taste: very sour, mouth puckering, lemony, vinegar, hint of chloride, no cherries though. I can handle the level of sour in this beer, but it lacks balance and there's no cherry flavour left anymore...
