At Zythos 2017. Pours clear brown. Aroma is spices, wood, candy malts. Body is almost light, neatly sweet, almost no bitterness or carbonation. Palate is still sweet. Okay.

Tasted at ’Bierweekend de lambiekstoempers’ 2015. Pours rather clear, dark blonde/amber. Small white head. Smell is unintense. Taste is yeast-bitter, some sweet grains. Not really that intense or different. I dont get the oak...

Oak-aged Belgian amber from this new Pajottenland micro brewery. Off-white, lacing, creamy head, clear, brownish hued amber with strong sparkling. Aroma of cashew nuts, peach, redcurrant, orange peel, only very faint oak and, unfortunately, a whiff of DMS (cooked white cabbage). Soft sweetish fruity taste, thin body with even somewhat watery texture, less carbonated than expected, caramelly malt sweetness, bit resiny, with leafy hop bitterishness in the end and drying wood, but gently so. Needs a lot more ’oomph’ but I can see potential in this.
