330ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Dark malty aroma, notes of dark caramel, couverture, light BA overtones with a peaty touch. Taste is dry, dark malty, hints of dark chocolate, couverture, leather, a touch of dark caramel with subtle residual sweetness, light peaty overtones; minimally warming, alcoholic finish, well hidden alcohol overall. Relatively watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Neither overly rich nor complex - not impressive.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours black with a beige foam. Aroma is solubles, whisky, wood, barrel, coffee, chocolate. Body is heavy and sweet, more acidic than the others. Low carbonation too, but the Islay does less than Bourbon barrel. Still a good beer.

At at asting, thanks, small bubbly brown bubbly creamy head, opaque very dark brown color, aroma of prunes, dried figs and dates with some vanila and a hint of roastiness in the back, flavor of roasted coffee with some metalic notes , hints of soy and dark fruits and brown bread in the back, light empathic sourness, quite sweet but not too heavy.
