Keg at The Old School, Oostvleteren, 21/11/15. Black with a decent tan head that retains well. Nose is roast malt, toasted brown sugar, minimal barreling notes, chocolate, trace of dark fruit. Taste comprises roast malt, toffee fudge, chocolate, raisens, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light charring and a rising sweet level in the close. Ok stuff but lacks depth for the ABV and not getting much barrel.

[9/19/15] Draught at the brewery in Oostvleteren. Dark reddish brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark fruits, cookies, a bit of chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with caramel, dark fruits, a bit of chocolate, a bit of cookies, and some alcohol. Medium to full-bodied.

Draught No head left; muddy brown beer. Sweet-vanilla, vanillabeans, milkchocolate, Bourbon. Sharpish onset towards more sweet-vanilla flavour. Not too well-bodied, long lasting vanilla sweetness. Not the best of samples - yet well enough.

Aroma of fruity red wine and some chocolately malts. Sweetish with some chocolatey notes coming through in the finish. Seems quite boozy.

Black colour. Warm alcoholic aroma, chocolate, caramel, quite fruity, lots of wood. Flavour chocolate, caramel, sweet notes, brown sugar, mocha, hint of vanilla. Sweet malty finish, wood, chocolate. Nice!

Sample draft @ ACBF 2015.

Sampled draft @ ACBF 2015. Black, little mocha head. Oily umami smell, mocha, sweet, sugary. Taste is sugar, roast, lots of umami, sweet, bit boozy, plenty of mocha. Thick mocha body. Pretty nice. (Thanks for sharing people!!!)
