Sampled draft @ Brugs Bier Festival 2014. Hazy amber orange, tanned head. Smells like sweet herbs, lots of spices, very sweet, cocoa, bay laurel, excess spices. Faintly tart, lots of herbs, sweet spices which turn bitter in the finish, chocolate, bitter herbs. m/m body. Touch odd, not stellar but fair enough.

Draught Small cream-coloured head over veiled red-brown beer. Chocolate, cocoa powder, dry chocolate truffles. Again chocolate truffles, wood, dry leaves, woodstripper - mildly - , galanga root, rootspices. Medium bodied, quite (grist)slick, medium carbonation. Not bad. I remain in doubt as to what the brewer intended. The cocoa flavour is remarkable.

1/II/14 - on tap @ Brugs Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2014-143) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear dark orange beer, aery creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: yeasty, some caramel, very malty, fruity touch, some apricots, hint of toast. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: little bitter, metallic touch, bit of caramel, apple skin, pretty hoppy. Aftertaste: metallic, caramel, some banana, hint of chocolate, hoppy and soapy ending. One of the lesser beers from De Leite. Strange.
