This is an IPA made with Pilsner malt, Amber malt and a dash of rye malt. The amber malt gives it a nice nutty flavour and a slight toastiness. The rye adds a bit of a peppery taste. On top of this it´s hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe.
This IPA will be an excellent pairing with Indian or Mexican food.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden pale amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy and weak rubbery caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter caramel finish.

0.33l bottle. This is a blurry deep golden looking one with a bubbly medium sized white top. It has a light fruit peachy nose. It's definitely fresh and well hopped. Lots of hedge-like bitterness on the nose, really grassy and it smells quite nice. A bit tea like perhaps? Yeah, lots of tea stuff in the taste as well. It has a light oily mouthfeel with a just below average carbonation level. Lots of dry hay and grassy things going on in the taste. Fresh hop pallets with herbal tea and fruity blackcurrant. Light mouthdrying but not disturbingly. Absolutely fair. Not my favorite hop being used here obviously, but a decent different one. 02.11.2013

Flaske 0,33l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Langnes. Drukket i heimen 17 Nov 13. Lys gylden. litt uklar. OK luftig skum med litt lacing. Kraftig & god fruktaroma. Smaken er frukt-tyggegummi. Ganske god. Blir litt tørr etter hvert.

Kraftig duft av friske citrus frukter. Dunkel mørk gul farge. Tynt dekkende skum. Nydelig smak av citrus med en frisk syrlig ettersmak.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. It pours a hazy, golden body under a medium sized off-white to beige head leaving a few lacings. Orange peel, nuts and a burnt note in the aroma. Orange peel and bitterness dominating the flavor, with a nutty maltyness. Full-bodied and semi-dry with a nice carbonation level. An unusual one, not sure if I like it or not. But at least I know I think it’s too nutty and burnt. 131019

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Almost clear golden body with an off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, citric fruit and some tropical fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, refreshing fruity and not particular strong bitterness, but well balanced. Hint of nuts and bouillon and unfortunly some butterscotch. Fine body and OK aftertaste. A bit odd IPA, but OK.

Flaske fra polet: kortlevd skum men pregnantvaroma med gress, appelsinskall og pepper. Meget frisk i frasparket - her er det mye et humlehode kan glede seg over: grapefrukt, furnål, syrlige frukter og en god dose pepper mot slutten kombinert i en slank kropp. Tørr ettersmak slik en ipa skal ha.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Frothy off-white head to a stable amber-gold body colour. Hazy last pour. Firm amount of glass-lacing. Mid-dry grapefruit nose, hints of bread. Citrus shells, and earthy malts flavours added by a spicy touch. Dry resin-like bitter finish. Medium bodied. Likable (Tromsø 09.11.2013).
