Old rating from Zythos Bierfestival 2008. Deep hazy bronze beer with creamy, off-white head; bready, yeasty, sweetish caramelly malts but not overly sweet, with a sourish touch and spicy notes, bit phenolic, yeasty and mildly bitterish finish, somewhat thin mouthfeel. Acceptable, but forgettable.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Streekbierweekend 2014. thx! for sharing people. Revamped new version under new owner, I have been told. Dark brown sugar caramel appearance, head only on the side. Smells of caramel, iron, burned brown sugar, candy, light herbs,.. Tastes of soy sauce, bruned brown sugar, caramel, malts, herbs,… Fizzy,..; Bit odd & not entirely my thing.

Bottled. An unclear red-brown beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of phenol and plastic. The flavor is acidic with note of spices and phenol, leading to a dry phenolic finish. Sick.

Bottled (apparently a forgotten pearl of the stuff I bought from Willems in 2007). Deep ambery brown colour with mediumsized beige head, that leaves lace. Aroma is slightly roasted malts, some spices and also a bit herbal notes. Flavour is roasted malts, caramel malts and quite herbal too. Also some slight yeasty notes. Quite watery palate.
