Thick malt edges the piney hops though they do leave a bit of their mark. Roasted flavors and cold coffee are also present.

Bottle courtesy of Oakbluff: Poured a deep brown color ale with an average foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep caramel and toffee malt is quite interesting. Taste is a nice mix between some caramel and toffee malt notes with a medium dry hoppy finish. Full body with some good carbonation. Very well done over all but was hoping ( and would have like) a hoppier finish.

A dark clear brown ale with a thick lacing light moka head. A light chocolate and coffee aroma, malty, caramelly and light black olives. In mouth, a good dry powedery chocolate and chocolate bitterness. Medium bodied. Trade with Piscator34. Tasted summer 2007.

Dark brown color, thick white head. Malty, chocolatey, slightly sour nose. Very chocolatey malty mouth. Slightly sour. Bordering on a porter at this point. Chocolately, malty dry finish with a hint of nuttiness.

very dark brown, fruity, light, way too yeasty w a dash of nail polish. Not much complexity and the balance isn’t for me.
