Robust, with a dark amber colour it expresses the singularity of the yeast. Balanced with a caramel note it has an interesting complexity of spices and toasted aromas

Bottle in Lisbon on Sunday 10th December 2023. Dark amber body, thin off-white head. Nose held some light herbal esters alongside a yeasty whiff. Taste was leaning towards maltiness with a mild hop presence. Nothing to get excited about, but it's not a bad beer at all.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 24C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium aroma of yeast, alcohol (peppery, almost solventy). faint fruity esters and a mild malt sweetness. APPEARANCE: dark gold color and clear. medium-large ivory head, moussy, with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium yeast (uncooked bread), slight toasty and sweet malt. medium bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a biere de garde with excessive yeast presence and not much malt richness.
