Into the boat! Our favourite barbarian has returned to our waters for a fifth time.
With V5 we added a configuration of 5 of our favourite hops to our New England Double IPA. Expect a tasty fruit salad of a beer. Dangerously drinkable!

Ingredients/Ingredienten: malt/mout (pale, oats, wheat, carapils, munich), Hops (Columbus, Centennial, Citra, Amarillo, Idaho7), sugar, yeast/gist (Wyeast 1318)

One in an ongoing series of NEDIPAs by Kromme Haring, each time hopped differently. Thanks to Francis for sharing! Egg-white, mousy, opening but tightly lacing, irregular head on a cloudy pale orangey-tinged apricot blonde beer. Aroma of canned apricots, ripe pineapple, honey, mango purée, guava, freshly whipped cream, dough, lime juice hint. Sweetish onset with light sourish edge, very fruity from the start, hinting at guava, pineapple, peach and mango, softly carbonated; soft, fluffy, dough-like malt 'soil', honeyish, aromatized by a wave of tropical hoppiness, with all that mango, ripe pineapple and peach returning, but remaining low in actual hop bitterness - as is to be expected from anything truly NEIPA-like. The alcohol remains very well hidden. Very juicy and tropical, technically flawless and entirely correct for the style, which Kromme Haring masters perfectly, perhaps better than any of the other postmodern Dutch craft breweries; still I do miss a bit of the depth and complexity this type of beers sometimes shows - usually, but certainly not exclusively, when made by its 'creators' back in the New England region itself.

Can. Blonde. Citrus and mango in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with lots of citrus and tropical fruit. And only a hint of grass. Fruitjuice disguised as a beer.

Can at home, orange hazy opaque beer, small head. Aroma is multivitamin, sweet, hops, light bitter, fruity, mango. Taste is the same, quite sweet with a multivitamin flavour, light bitter. not bad.

Can. Hazy (but not that hazy) gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness on the back end. Light malts but still bringing a reasonable sweetness. The hops are Columbus, Centennial, Citra, Amarillo and Idaho 7. It's the Idaho that sings loudest here, bright and almost candyish citrus and tropical fruits underpinned by crisp pine. Modest orange peel on the back end but the Idaho 7 hops never lose their grip. Light crisp finish just a whisper of hop burn. A delightfully fruity affair and very drinkable.

Can at home. Fucking ugly punica fruit drink appearance, average sized white head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, fairly sweet, fairly typical NEIPA imo. Ok.

Can. This version is brewed with Columbus, Centennial, Citra, Amarillo and Idaho7 hops. Color: Very hazy orange, like juice, off-white head. Aroma: Citrus, orange, hop. Taste: Very smooth, grassy and slightly pine hopbitterness. Fruity notes of orange, some mango and hints of peach. Above moderate bitterness with decent wheat malt background. Bitter palate at finish. Pretty dense. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Slightly boozy. Long lasting grassy bitter finish. Nice one.

Can at home. Hazy orange ge golden with small almost white head, looks juicy! Aroma is juicy too, with orange and papaya. Light sweet malts, crisp light green herbs and a bit if a field in spring. Mostly juicy though. Over medium sweet and over light bitter. Solid medium bodied with creamy feel and somewhat astringent finish. Nice.

Versie 5 alweer, maar ook deze is geslaagd. Dik fruitsapje met net genoeg bitterheid
