STORY
The Butterfly Effect
In 1699 the pioneering naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian travelled from Amsterdam to Suriname to study her great passion, butterflies. We understand the call of curiosity too. It leads us to wander, foraging in meadows and hedgerows for ingredients like wild elderberry and rosehip for this deliciously light, alcohol-free Blonde Ale. As Maria knew, the lifespan of the butterfly is short. But a glass of this organic ale disappears even sooner. Curious, isn’t it?
INSPIRATION
With a love of botanicals in our blood, it was a natural next step for us to want to support and protect the biodiversity of the land. That’s why inspired by nature’s meadows and hedgerows, for this no-alcohol Blonde Ale we use organic hops and organically wild harvested elderberry and rosehip. Whilst meadows alone will not counterbalance the use of pesticides, they are a small step to slowing pollinator decline and serve as a reminder to retain the natural beauty of our countryside.

Bottle. Clear golden. Soft malts, light floral, CO2, a touch of yeast and herbs, citrus. Subtle fruity and malty, with soft hop bitterness. Over light bodied. Decent.

Soft malty, lemony fruity beer. Quite nice for a low abv. Moderate sweet, light tart. Moderate bitter. Average carb. --- Beer merged from original tick of Lowlander Organic Blonde Ale on 28 Feb 2021 at 22:30 - Score: 6. Original review text: A near clear golden ale with weak white head. Sweet malts, touch of lemoncurd, dash of white pepper. Sweet at the taste, thin & malty in the mouth and then dry on the tongue and finish. Medium body, soft carb. Nothing fancy, not too shabby either. --- Beer merged from original tick of Non-Alc Organic Blonde on 24 Jul 2022 at 19:18 - Score: 7

0.33 l bottle from 'Drinks & Gifts', best before August 2021. Minimally hazy, golden with a medium large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral and minimally grassy aroma of lemon peel, chamomile and a touch of grains. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, gently fruity-floral taste of lemon peel, grains and chamomile, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit grassy and a little worty finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Blond Ale, doesn't have that much of the typical NA character, elderberry and rose hip are hardly recognizable though.

Wederom een prima laag-alcoholisch bier van Lowlander. Fris, iets van vlierbessen, licht moutig, geel fruit, wat citrus. Prima mondgevoel ook. Goed.
