Hopman pays homage to the sweeter side of El Dorado & Galaxy hop. Expect these hops to impart notes of blood orange marmalade, light aromas of sweet citrus, with a finish of honeydew melon, & traditional Italian aranciata. With Galaxy being imported from Australia, & El Dorado being sourced from Washington state, these hops have traveled from across the world to meet at your glass.

Super hazy, deep golden and pure straw yellow coloured body with a relatively thick, off-white head, two to three centimetres tall of a soapy head that fades fast. Aroma of grass, pine, straw, hay, flowers and a peppery, spicey quality with some herbal elements from the El Dorado with a good malt backbone and some alcohol peeking through. Medium-bodied; Rich peppery and spicey bite at first with a bunch of floral and grassy notes along with a fairly astringent and deep alcohol warmth with a lot of hop bitterness in which the grassy/floral hops really come out. Aftertaste is deep and robust with the floral, perfumey and especially peppery/spice hop notes the strongest, but some good malt and alcohol showing through on the strong side. Overall, decent, but way too strong on the El Dorado, which I'm not really a fan of, but the balance is nice and the alcohol is strong, but after all, this is an Imperial IPA. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 10-July-2020 for US$5,30 sampled at my house here in Washington on 13-July-2020, just three days later.

Pounder at Shaffer's BBQ, Middletown VA: Orange gumball nose. Cloudy golden, thick head, good lacing. Lemon candy. Medium body, soft carbonation. Probably a touch too sweet for some, but I really don't have a problem with it. Very tasty.

16oz can pours a hazy gold, sticky white head. Nose has lime, soap, melon, some stone fruit. Flavor has chewed bubblegum, limes, flowers, herbal now. Pillowy finish picks it up.

Can from Tavour, 1/26/20. Fully hazed yellowish-orange, white head, fairly strong lace. Citrus, a little grass. Melon notes as well. On the subtle side hop aroma-wise, but pretty good. Flavor is similar, leans sweet, lighter bitterness. Solid, but not outstanding. Good mouthfeel. Pretty good beer. 7/4/7/4/15
