Golden. Bittersweet. Citrus. Clean. An up to date twist on classic pilsner styles. With a golden colour and subtle bitterness balancing the malt body, this beer demonstrates a distinctive citrus aroma from European and American hop varieties.

Very slight haze on this gold beer. Short lived white head. Semi soft palate, mild carbonation. Metallic minerals and creamy malt. A little paper. Whisper of hop. Bland and metallic.

3rd Beer of my random tasting evening on 12 Aug 2011. The brown 330ml bottle had 12 days life left when poured into a Veltins Pilsner badged stemmed tulip. Regular Pilsner/Lager look: golden, clear and bright, the pure white head produced some good lacing as the beer sank down the glass. Being made with a blend of liberty and saaz hops ensures there is a citrusy feel to the beer both in taste and in the aroma given off. Although not strong, there was a grapefruit hint throughout the tasting and it added a nice dimension to the beer. I’m never going to be a huge lager/pilsner fan, but this sits highly in my eyes and if it was a hot day I’d consider having another.

330ml bottle, thanks to Finn for sharing. Unclear, golden body topped by a decent, chalk white head. Pale malty nose alongside a touch of dusty hops. Malt-accented taste with floral-fruity notes. Refreshing malt-bitter end. Soft in the mouth. Ordinary (session in Tromsø, 09.02.2012).

Flaske 0,33l fra Sourced Market, Euston. Delt med Rune under seanse i heimen 9 Feb 12. Lys gylden. Høyt luftig kritthvitt skum som varer en stund. Uklar siste kvelling. Søt fruktig aroma. Vassen smak. Litt malt. Blir syrlig bitter etterhvert. Uspennende.
