Dark ruby pour with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, sherry, alcohol and an odd musty almond. The typical banana esters are nowhere to be found this seems more like a Belgian strong ale with hints of a weizenbock. Weird beer, it’s not bad it enjoyable, but to me it seems way off the style lines.

Bottle from Beer Republic. A bottle from february 2018 enjoyed in june 2020. Aroma is fairly complex with lots of dried fruits, caramel malt, sugary overripe banana, toffee, some alcohol, dark bread, plum, raisins, touch of red/dark fruits and sherry. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness and a little booze in the finish. A rich medium to full body with a mildly sticky feel. Rich and complex, very good!

0.75 l bottle from 'Beer Republic', bottled in November 2021, so apparently already two years old by purchase. Hazy, dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity, a bit yeasty aroma of molasses, candied cherry, brandy, caramel, prunes, raisins, toasted coconut and traces of overripe banana. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity, gently boozy and a bit yeasty taste of molasses, caramel, prunes, raisins, candied cherry, coconut, brandy, some chocolate and a touch of overripe banana, followed by a medium long, gently bitter finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Highly delicious brew, rather a wheat wine than a Weizenbock though. Quite rich, almost brandy-like, maybe the benefits of two years of aging. Lovely.

A dark brown beer, a head is medium and light beige. Aroma has sophisticated dried fruitness, raisin, prune, figs, some toffee and spicyness, wheatness is also there. Taste has raisin, other dried fruits, smoothness, light toffee and wheat. Smooth, almost full bodied. Lots of fried fruits. Complex and great beer.

Dark, dark brown with a creamy beige head. Pleasant aroma full of prunes and brown sugar. Taste is sweet with modest warmth that only hints at the booze underneath. No real bitterness, but the sweetness stays within boundaries. Different from your traditional German Weizenbock—no real hints of bananas or bubblegum. The strong prune notes take this one in another direction and it goes down in the end more like a barley wine, or a Doppelsticke. Heavy bodied. Smooth. Pleasant sipping.

Unglaublich intensiver Bock, in der Nase würzig, Sherry, im Trunk cremig, Lebkuchen, Rosinen, leicht alkoholisch, langer Abgang. Hinten Schokolade, Zartbitter, sehr sehr lecker.

Tight creamy tan head stayed on a reddish brown still body. Malt, spices & boozy Christmas cake aroma. Medium bodied, so creamy on the tongue with a slight tickle on the back. Yeast, port, boozy, maple syrup, spices, raisin & banana tastes. Outstanding

75 cl corked bottle, served in wine glasses at my buddy Dani's place (thanks, bro!) It pours cloudy dark brown with a rapidly vanishing tan head. Aroma is sweet indeed: pie, cinnamon roll, dates, dry figs... Mouthfeel is soft, creamy and quite intense, yet bitterless. Loads of umami in the long-lasting finish. Good.
