3/V/18 - 33cl bottle from Kerstbierenfestival (Essen) @ home - BB: X/2017 (2018-596) Thanks to Werner for holding on to them and to Jerre for getting the bottle to me.

Pretty clear dark brown beer, small creamy irregular beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, bit adhesive. Aroma: soft roast, dried fruits, bit acidic, some nail polish. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: soft roast, bit acidic, fruity notes. Aftertaste: very fruity, lots of sour cherries, actually pretty darn complex beer, this one, soft bitterness in the finish.

Short-lived head over ruby-brown beer. Fruity nose, blueberries, bit of alcohol. Milkchocolate. Again fruity, chocolate, but then overwhelming cooked celeri - aka DMS, taking over and ruining everything. Finish is a tad sourish, which increases warming up. Light to medium bodied (at 10% ABV????). Undercarbonated. Amateuristic homebrew. 6/4/5/2/9 Thanks to Stef for bringing!

At Kerstbierfestival 2015. Pours clear, dark ruby/brown. Small white head. Smell is bit bitter, some fruity undertone. Taste is sharp, bitter, again a mild fruity tone. Bitter, bit roasty, malts.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, breadish. Dark malty, breadish and roasted. Overripe dark and dry fruity. Roasted finish.

Sampled draft @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Ruby reddish brown with zero head. Nose is sweet & sticky liquorish with caramel & touch syrup and molasses. Taste is sweet syrupy sugar, liquorish, slightly boozy, faint iron, warming,… Oily and pretty much no carb. Okay brew that could have used a bit more, maybe the bottled & refermented version is a bit more attenuated.

Sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Opaque dark brown to black color, no head. Smell sweetness. Taste light to moderately malts, sweetness, lightly liquor, liquorice and caramel. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad.
