Bier verbindet. Rauchbier noch mehr. Deshalb haben sich der brasilianische Craft Brewer Alexandre Bazzo und Braumeister Roland Kundmüller erstmals 2014 zusammengetan und einen Rauchbock gebraut. Bernsteinfarben, rauchig wärmend und mit Hopfen aus dem eigenen Garten. Das Ergebnis ist ein Zeichen ihrer Freundschaft. Und ein Genuss, den beide lieben. Gebraut auch weiterhin saisonal nach diesem Vorbild mit den 4 Malzsorten Carared, Melanoidin-, Rauch-, und Pilsner Malz sowie den Hopfen Hallertauer Gold, Saphir und Spalter Select.

Coz eksperymen i wspolpraca z tradycyjunym stylem srednio udana. Gdyby to bylo tylko bambergowskie i nie w kolaboracji to wedzonka wyszla by wieksza. Bo to tak jakby hiszpanska wedzona papryczke w proszku wsypac lyzeczke do pacyfiku i liczyc na to ze sie cokolwiek wyczuje. Nieco jej bylo, nie bede drastyczny ale po obeznaniu sie w Schlenkerlowskim klimacie od wielu, wielu lat wiem co mowie, piana jest fajna, trwala, moze pomagal w jej trwalosci kufel z przykrywka, zlocisty kapsel i tyle plusow sie konczy.

Bottle from Jonas, thanks! Drunk in a desperate situation when usually I wouldn't be going for a half liter Bock on a Wednesday but now it's saving my mind since I need something stronger than Helles. Clear dark amber, moderate head, dry lightly smoky nose. Flavor is very clearly smoke based, but not as biting as the well known dark Bamberger Märzen. Slightly malty overtones with an earthy bitterness that melds with the smoke very well. Nice Rauchbier!

Bottle shared with a lovely rabbit. Amber golden, slightly hazy. Ash, melanoidin, malt, sweetness. Full, surprisingly fluffy and light, followed by smoked, ashy, roasted. Creamy. Like.

500mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has soft peated malt, a touch of bacon, and bready caramel. Flavour has a wonderful bacony peated smoke character, with lightly sweet bready malt, cured meat, and toffee. Not at the level of smoke aggression that Schlenkeral or Spezial produce, but this is one of the more interesting, unique and enjoyable rauchs I’ve had. Excellent.

More yellow colour with medium white head.Aroma is good smoked and also mild sweet flavour of burnt wood and grass nice toasted with hint of bacon and malt to nice by style.

Bottle from Bierwinkel Hop, Amersfoort. Aroma is smokey and fruity with smoked pale malt, caramel, smoked ham, grain, touch of apricot and orange. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Body is medium. Smooth and balanced Rauchbier, I really like this.

From Heinrich 3000, february 2023. Opening and tasting it, two days ago, at home, tired and lovely surprise, a almost perfect and classical smocked bock, subtle hint of bacon, smocked tree, malt, really smooth, German bitterness.
