Onze Imperial Stout is een meesterwerk van brouwmeesterschap, met zorgvuldig geselecteerde ingrediënten en een vakmanschap dat te proeven is. Het diepe, donkere uiterlijk en de rijke, robuuste smaak maken dit bier tot een ware smaaksensatie.
De koffie- en chocolade aroma's zijn prominent aanwezig, met hun intense geuren die je zintuigen prikkelen zodra je de fles opent. Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, cocoa, powdery chocolate, caramel, liquorice, touch of roast and a hint of hops in the finish. Flavour is medium sweet with a little hoppy bitterness in the finish. Body is above medium. Flavour is fairly sweet, lots of powdery chocolate, nice Belgian Imperial Stout.

Bottle. Almost black. Malt, caramel, roast and a hint of laurel in the aroma. Malty sweet caramelly flavor with roast and laurel. Well balanced. Shyish RIS.

330ml bottle, from trade cant recall who (shivandragon i think!). Pours dark, almost black, large tan head that takes its time to recede! Aroma brings some pleasant hoppy citrus, hoppy pine. Medium to full bodied with slick chocolate taking charge, some light roast nestled underneath alongside good fruity citrus. Cocoa appears more on the nose after a few sips showing the beers true chocolatey intent. Very enjoyable.

Hazy black with a lasting, foamy, beige head; some lacing. Inviting aroma of milk chocolate, cream liqueur, roasted malt, raisin, brown bread, caramel, coffee roast. It tastes light chocolatey sweet, a bit creamy, and light to medium roasted bitter with a raisin-like sourness in the back. Toasty, (peppery) hop finish with lingering cream & nuts and warming liqueur alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Good stuff here!

Très bonne surprise avec ce Russian Imperial Stout qui a la spécificité d'être brassé avec du Mandarina Bavaria, peu courant pour le style car utilisé de manière usuelle pour ses qualités aromatiques fruitées. Mais avant de parler de ce point il faut mettre en avant les très beaux arômes de café et chocolat francs et intense qui envahissent le palais avec une excellente corpulence. Alliés à des notes poivrées, fruitées (banane) et un alcool à 10 % Abv, remarquable, (qui structure la bière, soutient les arômes et confère du caractère) et vous avez tous les ingrédients pour un excellent Imperial Stout qui en envoie. Le seul bémol est le final qui aurait pu être plus travaillé. Très belle prestation.

Bottle @ Convent Santa Clara, Middelburg. Black colour, dark brown foam. Very roasty, lots of coffee, light syrupy sweetness, bitter hoppy finish. Bit raw and not very well balanced.

330ml bottle. Dark brown colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of pumpernickel, plum, sweet-ish, fruity hoppy overtones with hints of mandarine. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, hints of madarine flavoured dark chocolate, a touch of liquor (Cointreau), slightly alcoholic finish.
