Pours clear blonde, smell is intense over-aged cheese. taste is bitter, cheese ( aged, sweaty cheese , almost sweaty feet ) Goddamn this is bad. i used to kinda like boelens, but the last one’s i’ve had were full of mistakes, flaws, errors, and straight bad tastes. Damn, these guys make bad stuff

20/07/2015 @home - 33cl bottle by colleague who is in Vryheytscamme. Amber colour with medium head. Sweet, little bitter, spices, dry ending, something strange

Courtesy of tderoeck. Commissioned Boelens tripel with medium thick, snow white, stable head and hazy peach blonde colour. Aroma of walnuts, peaches, fried eggs, white bread, pineapple, red apple peel. Fruity taste, very estery, peach and pineapple sweetness, citrus peel with rather refreshing effect, caramelly malt sweetness, yeasty, medium carbonation, yeasty and rather short finish with herbal hops and a hint of warming alcohol. Enjoyable but a bit cliché and lacking refinement, as is often the case with Boelens beers.

Thanks to tderoeck. 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Tim needs to get rid of his ticks” Tasting. Enjoyed together with tderoeck, Benzai & Alengrin. Hazy golden, white head. Nose is cheap sugar, BE sweet, corn, dull typical BE. Taste is industrial, cheap, BE sweet, lots of syrup, sugar, yeast, plastic fruits in BE fashion. Body is a touch chemical. Run-of-the-mill nonsense.

Sampled from bottle @ Tim needs to get rid of his ticks tasting. Clear apple juice like golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, a hint of fruit, quite some yeast. Decent body and carbonation.

Clear deep amber beer, small creamy light beige hed, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very yeasty, paint, chemical notes, bit sweet, very off. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: banana, very yeasty, dirty, chemical, off. Aftertaste: yeast, sugary, very weird, overripe banana. Drain pour.
