33 cl. bottle sampled @ Barley Legal Tasting Room. Thanks to Kraddel! GUSHER. Hazy amber, small tanned head. Metallic, murky plastic nose, thick yeast, off rotting. Murky, spoiled grains, dark fruit, rotting, fermenting,… Murky body. A mess.

Pours amber-red . No real head even though this was a real gusher . Smell is sweet , grainy , yeasty Taste is sweet , smoky , bitter , not good . Milky, lactose in the back . Aftertaste is pure lactose . Worst finish ever . Too much carbo

Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts, quite a lot of banana. Light sweet flavour, caramel. Light body, quite thin. Finish banana, yeast and caramel.
More reminding of a Dunkelweizen than a Dubbel imho.

1/VI/13 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ pre-FortaRock tasting - BB: III or IV/2013 (2013-510)

Little cloudy red brown beer, irregular small off-white head, unstable, dissipates immediately, non adhesive. Aroma: some caramel, sugar, ripe fruits, peaches, bready yeast, ripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: little sweet in the start, caramel, banana, hint of citrus, bit hoppy. Aftertaste: bready yeast, banana, some citrus, bitter hops, some dried fruits and caramel. Is more like a Dunkelweizen?
