Bottle in Brugge. Clear straw that dissipates quickly leaving a collared white ring. Aroma of spice leads to an unrefined taste of slight wheat malt and moderate spice hops. Moderate thin mouthfeel.

33 cl. bottle @ Mombasa as “De Graal Triverius“. Hazy orange, solid creamy white head. Thick wheat nose with lovely fruity orange & peach aspects, fruity, little caramel. Thick strong wheat flakes taste, creamy, ripe peach, flowers, soft fruit, harmonious coriander… Very creamy, wonderful, I am not a big fan of the style but this is one of the better examples that I have hade, big surprise, very nice.

Klassisk men kanske lite blek belgisk blond/wit.

Unusual witbier. It has the typical dry and bitter body that all Graal beers have. Together with some sharp fruits it gives this witbier a bitter and spicey twist.

750 ml. Hazy deep golden body. Frothy off-white head, fully diminishing. Aroma of clove, honey, peach, orange. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Sweet orange and banana taste followed by hints of lemon citrus. Clove and spice help balance the honey notes and sweet fruits. Some pepper in the finish along with a muted lingering bitterness. Not as zippy and refreshing as other wits and a bit sweet, but still an enjoyable beer.

29/IX/2012 - 33cl bottle @ De Graal brewery (Brakel) with the Gentse Biervereniging - BB: VI/14 (2012-1092)

Clear blond orange beer, small aery white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of orange peel, coriander, bit spicy, sweet. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit spicy, some caramel, bit of candi sugar, lots of coriander, orange peel, little bitter, spicy. A bit too sweet for a witbier, and not sour enough, for me.
