Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. At 11.2% abv. Aroma is caramel, milk chocolate, roasted malt, mocha, fudge, toffee, vanilla, coffee. Flavour is sweet with a good roasty bitterness. Full body, bit sticky. Another amazingly rich Nerdbrewing beer. Jesus barrel-aged Christ, these guys have been impressing the hell out of me recently. Would ❤ to find out how they handle 'lighter' styles (IPA, Saison, etc.). This stuff brings a tear to my eye.

Bottle split at the Autumn Watford tasting, thanks to Tips, 24/09/21. Pitch black with a decent tan cap. Nose is dark malts, spice, charr, chocolate, coffee bean, caramel. Taste comprises sweet malts, big caramel vibes, dark chocolate, hint of stroopwafel, brown sugar melt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid.

Bottle shared in Watford - cheers to Tips. Pours black-brown with a small, foamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour, some gooey marshmallows, vanilla, chocolate, light roast. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more cocoa, marshmallows, vanilla. Good stuff.

Bottle shared at Watford tasting. Many thanks to Tipple for this. A dark black brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, creamy raspberry ripple, chocolate, truffle, oily. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, light spicy chcoclate, caramel, toffee, Kamp coffee.. Oily..

Bottle. Pours opaque black with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, espresso, soy sauce, vanilla, cream and hints of sour dairy. Taste is medium to very sweet, medium bitter, light acidic and light salty. Body is creamy with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet and bitter with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, espresso, chocolate, toffee, hazelnuts and aged dark rum. I had really high expectations for this beer, but the lack of complexity and an unpleasant sourness was rather disappointing.

Bottle from Glasbanken. Black with mid sized brown head. Heavy roast, espresso beans, toffee, chocolate. A bit coffee heavy, but very smooth palate and creamy texture. Nice.

Aus der Flasche (Vintage 2020) im 2020-09 getrunken. Dieses Stout mit dunkelbrauner Schaumkrone hat in der Nase deutliche Aromen von Kaffee und Karamell. Am Gaumen ist das Stout sehr kräftig aber immernoch ausgewogen. Die Kombination der Aromen und die hervorangende Handwerkskunst macht einfach nur Spaß. Ein wunderbares Stout!
