330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and sweet-ish, caramel malty aroma, notes of coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, some toffee, a touch of treacle, slightly fruity overtones with a touch of plum and cherry. Taste is sweet-ish and minimally dry roasty, chocolately dark malty as well as caramel malty, notes of coffee, cocoa, dark caramel, hints of liquorice, treacle, toffee; a fruity touch of plum and cherry; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation. Very nice composition, harmonious, balanced, integrated; dangerous drinkability - very nice stuff.

Bottle shared with my girlfriend. Pours completely black with a little bit of head with good retention. Aroma is very chocolatey, coffee, plums and figs, spices. Big body, silky mouthfeel. Flavour is rich and malty, nicely sweet with beautiful dark malts and a touch of licorice. Nice coffee and chocolate flavours. Finishes bittersweet with lots of cocoa and licorice. Lovely.
