Tap at ZBF 2009: This is good brew made of flowers, in this case the rose, its gave the brew its red colour and a sweet taste.

Pours clear blonde, small white head fades to 0 instantly. Smell is yeasty, with a sweet sidetone. Taste is bitter, sweet. Sugar, yes, but indeed roses, bit red fruits even. Very sugary. Not bad, per se, but way to sweet for me ...

Rose version in this 2009 flower beer series, with snow white head and misty, orange blonde robe. Strong honey aroma, rosewater, gooseberry, pear, vanilla. Dryish fruity onset quickly turning explicitly sweet (vanilla, honey), strange rosewater taste, very much perfumed, bready malts, low carbonation, smooth, finish cloyingly sweet with low hop bitterness. Too sweet for my taste.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, blumig, Karamell, Gewürze. Geschmack ebenfalls blumig, Karamell, fruchtig, Gewürze.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden colour with huge, frothy, diminishing, white head. Sweetish, floral, slightly artificial fruity aroma, hints of raspberry, a touch of anise. Taste is sweet, slightly artificially fruity, perfumed, a floral touch; oily, sticky palate. Way too sweet.

Bouteille:Golden, cloudy, stable and creamy off-white head, sweet orangey-yeasty nose with some phenolic-fruity aromas; pretty sweet flavour, almost cloying, medium to full bodied, sticky;very sweet citrus-fruity finish. Nasty caries-producing stuff…

Bottle @ home. Clear orange color, medium sized white head. Smell malts, some herbs or spices. Taste is very weird: herbs, spices, a weird kind of fruityness, sweetish. I’m not gonna finish this bottle. Far from the worst I’ve ever tasted but I just don’t like it.

Made by Ecaussinnes – not a bit surprise there. 33 cl. bottle @ DHL. Thx! Bright golden with a big fluffy head. Nose is big floral like a bouquet, roses, not in a super way, floral, esters, light soap, sweet BE yeast & for the first time I got actually perfume as a tasting note, lots of it, lightly fruity. Taste is indeed, perfume, roses, bouquets, flowers, sweet honey, light pepper, very sweet white grains, odd, too much & not super enjoyable, also some white bread. Very fluffy body.

31/12/2011 33cl bottle @ De Heeren van Liedekercke - BB: on cap, we didn't see the cap though. (2011-750)
Note: my last (new) beer of 2011! Served with the dessert around 23h45. ;-) A big thanks to the people from De Heeren for a wonderful end of the year food and beer experience!
Little cloudy blond beer, big aery white head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, floral of course and a bit soapy. No surprise there I guess. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet, bit fruity, candi, bubble gum, sugary. Aftertaste: sugary, more candy, some citrus, soapy, bit bitter. Bleh.
