Arend Double is a dark amber coloured beer with a warming sweet caramel flavor in combination with a subtle bitterness of hops and a full-bodied aftertaste.

Gusher! Dark brown, creamy white foam. A lot of carbonation. Unbalanced beer. Aroma of caramel and dark fruit. Bit sweet, medium bitter. Not very good.

Bardzo dobre piwo, ktore rosnie w oczach. Chodzi mi oczywiscie o piane. Spora i drobinkowa metnosc, kolor ciemno rubinowo-bordowy. Piana niebywale trwala. Aromat sliwek i innych owocow suszonych. W smaku slodkawe ale nie przytlaczajace. Lekka wytrawnosc daje sie zaznaczyc na finiszu.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Hazy orange brown with an off-white head. Malty aroma with lots of herbs. Nice full flavour with a taste that matches the aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Nige dubbel.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured @ Willems. BBF 12/2013. I love the escutcheon label design – even if I suspect that the beer inside is going to be average at best, I cannot help but to get exited about anything bearing an escutcheon. The sucker pours a copper brownish amber with some beige bubbles quickly separating like islands and vanishing. Smells like cough syrup, overly sweet semi-jagermeister herbs, liquorish, even more spices and biscuit, candy sugar,… am I supposed to drink this or take one tablespoon with each meal? Taste is thick cough syrup, candy sugar syrup, liquorish, very sweet spices, rum cake, wowza, I am not sure as to what this sweet concoction is? sweet metals, copper, medicinal herbs, very thick, coffee, almost hint sour,… I am not sure as to what this concoction is but I am intrigued. Carb. is too explosive & body a touch too light. Get out of here :)

33cl bottle @ home. Lightly hazy amber colored, small off-white to beige head. Aroma is a bit faint, but it has malts, caramel and light sweetness. Taste malts, caramel, raisin, sweetness, lightly herbs, a hint of sour. Pretty fizzy carbonation, low to medium body.
