Bottle. Pours dark orange, with an enormous creamy and light coloured head. Aroma is yeast with lots of fruits, some tropical notes, ginger, and a honey and toffee sweetness. Medium body, with a quite lively carbonation. Flavour is sour, with brett and sour citrus, as well as a tropical whiff, before a long bitter lemon finish kicks in.

Hazy orange with a large, rocky, white head. Aroma is bright fruit, spice, yeast, sweet, light citrus. Medium bodied. Flavor is bright, fruity, citrus masterpiece. Spice from yeast, and lightly sweet malts, too. Very enjoyable, very complex. Body is fairly full with decent carbonation. I think a little more carbonation would really add to the complexity of this but who the hell am I to judge? Dryish finish. Great beer.

Cloudy golden with a big, but disappearing white head. Big brettanomyces aroma with grapefruit and leather and a little more grass and herbs than Orval. Grassy and funky flavour with fruity notes, and a floral hint. Rather dry with a good bitterness. A good clone, but basically a simpler and more expensive Orval.

12oz unique bottle. Kind of a gusher, which is sort of acceptable for the style. Continuously evolving indeed. Dry mellow tropical hop aroma, big brett and farmhouse funk, bubblegum..really nice. Top notch stuff really, boldly dry. More in line with a funked out Saison than a BPA..whatever...sounds good to me. Aggressive and in your face, this is certainly a really great beer. Really Orval like. Quite nice. Additional notes- this is really overcarbonated. The fluffy palate is nice at first, but is really over the top, making it a challenge to really sit down and drink this beer.

Bottle thanks to thepeter. Slow gusher. It pours cloudy golden yellow with a massive off-white head. The nose is orange peel, earth, tartness, bread, panettone, apple and pear. The taste is spice, earth, candied peel, zesty orange, alcohol warmth, hay, bread and decent bitterness. Medium body, lively carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Too much carbonation. Nevertheless a flavoursome and well balanced beer.

The initial pour produced total foam from the bottom of the glass and up over the top. As the foam opened up, it settled into a clear medium yellow body below. The aroma is quite interesting and quite persistent. The tall head did not hold it back as many big heads will do. Sweet and complex; almost like the smell of new soft vinyl but a bit leathery. Some bubblegum. The flavor is lightly herbal with a nice dry finish. I’ll have another!

Bottle at home. Pours a cloudy dark orange colour with a huge frothy light beige head. Very fruity aromas of apricot, but also sweet and bitter berries from the woods. There�s also some heather and oak, and it�s like standing in the middle of the forest. Wonderful and lightly spiced. The flavour hits me with lots of pine, oak and leather. If the aroma smells of forest, the flavour is like licking the forest trail. The mouthfeel is pretty flat and slick, and has a medium bitterness. A really one of a kind beer which is powerful in the nose as in the mouth. I think I�ve never recalled that many memories from the cabin in the mountain forest in a beer before!

From a 355ml bottle on 15/11/2012. Pours a fairly clear light golden with a huge billowy head. Has a strong sharp, citrusy, yeasty aroma. Flavour wise you get lots of lemon, a touch of apple, and a tart, tangy, rather salty, dry finish which dominates the modest sweetness up front. This has some saison like character to it, but it’s more in your face. The carbonation is too high in my view. Gotta say I’m quite disappointed with this. The Green Flash gear I’ve tried to date has ranged from excellent to exceptional, but this is just passable. It’s not lacking in flavour or character - it’s just that what’s there is not particularly interesting, inspiring or enjoyable.
